Jim is a founder of Altum Partners and has over 28 years of tax consulting experience. Jim assists clients with issues involving U.S. federal and state income tax, international income tax issues, and particularly enjoys the challenge of income tax provision work. Jim also advises on mergers and acquisitions, income tax audits, sales tax, and other taxes. Jim’s primary focus is serving technology companies.
Jim spent the first 14 years in Deloitte’s San Jose office serving clients ranging in size from venture backed start-ups to large multinational public corporations. Jim then spent 5 years at a regional accounting firm prior to founding Altum Partners. Jim typically serves the role of an outsourced tax director for clients which vary from small-cap public companies to initial year start-ups.
Jim graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in economics.
