Stacy is a partner in our Corporate Tax Department, working in public accounting since 2002. She has worked with a wide range of entity clients and has extensive experience with tax compliance and tax planning, including tax return preparation, tax provision computations, international tax planning, and assistance with income tax audits. Stacy has advised clients with respect to sales, property, and franchise taxes, Section 382 studies, transfer pricing, and mergers and acquisitions. She works on a wide range of corporate clients involved in many different industries and ranging from small startup businesses, to large, multi-state and multinational public corporations. She focuses largely on technology companies of all types including software, SaaS, hardware, and biotechnology. Stacy has assisted several clients through the process of an initial public offering. She has addressed the complex tax treatment of numerous issues with clients such as stock option accounting, research and development credits, acquisitions, uniform capitalization, and the ever-changing world of state tax apportionment. She also has considerable experience with limited liability companies and S corporations. Stacy is one of the founding members of Altum and strives to provide the best possible outsourced tax services to all her clients.
Stacy received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with emphasis in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in Communication, both from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated with honors and distinction in her major. She also completed her Masters in Taxation from San Jose State University and is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In her free time, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family, watching and playing a number of sports, the occasional craft project, and traveling as much as possible.
